Do you have a Food Sensitivity?

Common food sensitivities can show up in a variety of ways. Food sensitivities can affect our physical body and mental well-being. The following symptoms are just a few signs of what sensitivities look like. Some symptoms leave slowly, some fluctuate, and some leave rapidly.

  • Joint Pain
  • Frequent Migraines
  • Lack of Focus
  • Anxiety
  • Dark Circles Under Eyes
  • Frequent Rises in Blood Sugar
  • Frequent Dips in Blood Sugar
  • Ringing in Ears
  • Swollen Lips
  • Hives
  • Hair Loss
  • Palpitations
  • Sleepy after Meals
  • Menstrual Irregularities
  • Frequent “Colds”

*Note: There is always a possibility that there could be other causes for the above symptoms. However, since hidden food sensitivities are so common, it should be ruled out first.

If you suspect a food sensitivity, contact a practitioner to guide you through an appropriate sensitivity protocol.
In the meantime, keeping a food and mood journal is a great idea to monitor your meals and reactions. You may try eliminating the food item to see if your symptoms improve. These reactions are often relieved by eliminating the food item and can be observed by reintroducing yourself to the food at a later date. However, it is always best to work with someone who can make this process easy, less stressful, and adjust it to your specific needs.
