1. Toast nuts on a low flame until golden
2. In a food processor, add nuts, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Blend until combined.
3. Add basil to food processor and pulse until color is bright and texture is smooth.
4. If pesto is not smooth, drizzle more olive oil and blend again.
You can transfer your fresh pesto to a bowl and use it in meals throughout the week OR, freeze portions of it in an ice cube tray to save for a later date.
